What is Human Influenza Exactly?

Human influenza is a virus that can affect any person and has probably affected every single person in the world. Influenza structure is associated with a virus strain that infects a normal healthy human cell. At this point the human cell is overtaken by the virus and is considered an influenza cell. Once influenza cells are within the host’s body then this cell can multiply with the virus in it. Once the cell multiplies the influenza structure inflicts more and more cells until it eventually causes symptoms in a person. Human influenza cells can be accompanied by a variety of symptoms.

Symptoms of a person inflicted with influenza cells are very common especially during flu season. Some of these symptoms can include but are not limited to: runny nose, sore throat, body aches, headaches, fatigue, and fever. There are many different strains in influenza that can be more severe than other influenza strains. Once an individual has the flu afflicted by influenza cells, that person will become immune to that strain of virus for the rest of their lives. This is called acquired immunity where the body’s immune system creates a response to the influenza strain and fights off the infection. Once the body fights it off for the initial infection, the body will acquire immune system cells that are ready and capable of fighting that specific strain of influenza at any time throughout that person’s lifetime. Every times a person gets a flue it is cause by a different strain.

Some strains of influenza cells can be more harmful than others. Recently the swine flu was caused by a specific influenza structure that was not common and more deadly than most influenza strains. This specific strain had no vaccine for the influenza structure and it was not common throughout the world. Since it was so uncommon, a person who was infected by it may have had a hard time fighting off the influenza cells throughout their body.

This strain was most lethal against the elderly and younger people due to the fact that their immune systems are not at full capacity and full strength. Furthermore, anyone who has a compromised immune system may have had deadly consequences from the swine flu influenza. This is because their immune system is weaker than the average person’s immune system so it was not capable of fighting off the influenza cells. However, people should not be worried about most influenza strains since the human immune system is very capable of easily getting rid of human influenza cells once infected.
